Hi,
When I try to post a general journal entry I get an error message when selecting a particular main account. I can post using other accounts but not this one.
Error message: You are not authorized to use account xxx
The only setting at the main account level that I see could be related to this is:
User validation button:
But I still don´t see how the above is restricting my posting.

Can you please set Optional in the "Validate user" field instead of selecting - specify multiple valid options as showing in your screen shot.
Below is the example you can refer.
Also check which journal name you are using and in that journal, if there is any Journal control is mentioned or not as you can see below.

Sourav shared some suggestions. Besides changing the Validate user field to Optional, you can also leave this value and add your user using the button User validation. I'm not sure what would be the thought for having the Validate user field set to the current value. It could be done with a certain vision.
Kindly go through the suggestions and provide us an update on this.
