Automating FO and Dataverse environment refresh

All,

I'm working with an organization that is using Project Operations and Finance. It currently is taking the team about 2 days to complete a database refresh from prod to a lower environment.

I'm aware that the FO and Dataverse environments need to be delinked, relinked and the maps reactivated manually (Dual-write FAQ - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn), but much of this process seems like there should be (could be?) opportunities for automation to reduce the labor effort involved.

Are there existing tools that we should investigate? Are there upcoming features that support this? Other options?

Hi Morgan,

When you create a new environment via PPAC, you can use the copy process from PPAC which will copy all meta data and databases. That should be faster than the current disconnected approach.

1) What is the total data size of Finance and Operations Database?

2) Is the team a Microsoft implemantation partner? Or is it an in-house team
