Hi All,

I am trying to install "Security Development tool AX 2012" in my local machine.

I have downloaded it from LCS and installed it but it is not creating any folder in "Program Files" as mentioned in installation guide.

Can anybody guide me how to install it?

Is it compatible with AX 2012 R3 CU11?

Hi Chaitanya,

I have followed the same link but I am unable to see any folder/files in program files as mentioned in the guide.

"When a message indicates that the tool has been successfully installed, click Finish. After the Installation Wizard has finished running, the files are available at the following locations:

For 64-bit systems: %ProgramFiles (x86)%MicrosoftSecurity Development Tool

For 32-bit systems: %ProgramFiles%MicrosoftSecurity Development Tool"

Hi,

Please have a look at the following paths on your machine:

For 64-bit systems: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Security Development Tool

For 32-bit systems: C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Security Development Tool(I have 64 bit, so not sure about this path but please check)

Hi,

Please run the SecurityDevelopmentTool.msi again and it should show you option for repair/remove as it indicates it successfully installed(as shown below). If so, please search for folder Security Development Tool on your machine. Still no luck, then remove/uninstall the tool and make installation from C drive on your machine.

(Not sure about executing from C drive but by doing so, it successfully got installed for me).

I have found it the correct path is

“C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Security DevelopmentTool\SecurityDevelopmentTool.axmodel”
