Terminated users AX 2012

Hi

Just wondering how others are maintaining terminated users in AX 2012

We are just terminating worker's employment in HR>workers form but we are not doing anything to their user set up. Just wanted to know what's the best way? Should I ask our system admin to delete user record from System admin> Users or just delete their permissions on their user card?

Thanks

Sowjanya

    Hi,

    In Sysadmin>Common>Users disable the user, we don't delete the user because it can cause problems with Management Reporter depending on what version you are using.

    Also, be aware that deleting a user will delete batch jobs and batch history as well. Better to just "disable"

    Thanks Sukrut, Torben and Kristen

    I assume "disable" means unchecking that enable box in the user form. I will explain what I am actually after. We ran this license count report and this report shows counts Enterprise licenses/security roles assigned to those terminated users. If I untick enable in user form, it doesn't automatically delete their security roles. I guess we should just remove their security roles instead.

    Any thoughts?

    please run this code in a job before print ing  the license count report,

    SysUserLicenseMiner::GenerateUserLicenseCountReportInfo();

    the license count data is not updated right away automatically.

    so you don't need to delete security roles, deleting roles won't help in your case.
