Hi,

I'm working in a Contoso environment, in company USP2. I am trying to make a posting but I get this warning:

Which does not make sense to me because the account structure is the following:

No advanced rules setup.

What could be the reason for the warning?

Hi CapsLock,

Is it possible that this findim was suspended or no longer active?

Can you possibly try using a different demo company such as USMF, USSI or DEMF?

Do you see similar issues there?

Might be the case that some of your colleagues who also use this demo environment 'played' around with the settings; therefore it might be good using a 'fresh' company or system.

Hi,

Is this structure valid? isnt it overriden ?

Your first line has same main account range and that is not allowed with your selected CC.

Can you check?

Hi Ludwig,

Thanks for your answer. The financial dimension values were not suspended but they didn't have the company USP2, the one I'm trying to post on added either. I did add the company in all the values I was going to use but still I can't post:

I was going to allow blanks in the department, that must be the reason for the error but I get this message, do you know what it means?

HI,

As I said, it seems not a correct structure, you are suing same range with duplicate lines, it should be prevented by system.

Why do you need same range to be used for many lines?

You can remove duplicate ranges and setup only one, that will work.

Hi CapsLock,

The account structure that I see in my "plain vanilla" Contoso system for USP2 looks exactly the same as yours; yet, I don't see such errors.

Do you have another MS machine where you could do some testing in USP2?

To me it looks as if somebody probably did try some developments or modifications and rather than searching long what might have gone wrong in this demo machine, I would suggest trying to test in a new and "fresh" machine.

This should overcome your issue.

Hi CapsLock,

If I am not wrong and if you are using standard UPS2 Accounting structure, the error is showing because you have not selected any Department ("") and selected Cost Cente "013" which is allowed only if there is Department "024"

Your scenario is following in 3rd line of accounting structure:

And that requires mandatory Department "024" and blank ("") is not allowed in that case.
