Hi

In the last version of the document Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 System Requirements (July 2014) is only mentioned SP1. Does it mean that SP2 in not official supported?

I haven't heard any announcement from Microsoft yet, so I suppose it hasn't been fully tested and therefore it's not supported in the moment.

I'll change my opinion if Umesh provides a document where Microsoft confirm that they support it.

    Hi Martin

Recently one of our customer installed SQL Server 2012 SP2 and DIXF service stopped work properly. So I looked to the AX 2012 System Requirements and found out that SP2 is not mentioned in this document. Maybe my question is not suitable for this forum, because the authoritative answer can only provided by someone from Microsoft. But It seems that Umesh has answer for anything.

We've experienced some issues with DMF using SQL Server 2012 SP2 and have had to roll back to get it to work again. I don't believe it has been officially certified yet.

    Hi Jonathan,

We have experienced the same issue. The DIXF service crash during staging phase. So I agree with you, that SP2 has not been officially certified.

Hi Martin. My feedback off of a support request with Microsoft is: "The AX and SSIS Engineering Teams have established that the cause of this issue is related to SSIS and affects SQL Server 2012 SP2, which has not yet been certified as compatible with AX 2012 / AX 2012 R2 / AX 2012 R3."
