Maintaining Journal from QS2000 to POS2009 "upgrade"

I have a client who is using QS2000 and wants to upgrade to POS2009. I suggested RMS but she really likes a friends POS2009. I did some test runs and had no problem going from QS to POS in all respects except for the journal. Reports are all fine however journal and batch info is gone. I know you can see QS journals in RMS through utilities but does anyone have any ideas how to get them into POS2009? It wouldn't be optimal to have them open their old software in order to view past transactions.
