View MR report list in GP2016 R2 Navigation Pane

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to configure MR reports to generate them from GP2016R2. I have reports tools configured, but still can't visualize MR reports. 

Am I missing something?

    MR is a separate (outside) application that links to GP.  Do you have MR installed?  Your admin will have to create an account for you for the MR Report Designer.

    Hi Frank, I know MR is a separate application, I have MR installed and I have an user to log in with. But in GP2015, there was a way of generating the reports from GP. You could see the reports in the navigation pane, and generate them from there.

    But, I don't know why, I can't see the reports in GP, although I can generate them from Report Designer.

    This is a known issue with GP2015+ and MR2012 with CU14+ (88923). This issue has not yet been scheduled to be resolved but these steps can be used as a work-around:

    1. On the MR server, browse to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics ERP\Management Reporter\2.1\Server\Services and locate the MRServiceHost.settings.config file.

    2. Make a backup of the file.

    3. Open the file in Notepad. You may need to open Notepad as administrator first.

    4. Go to the bottom of the file and right before the </appSettings> line, add this:

    <add key="ServiceBusAddress"

    value="mrserver/Report.svc&quot; />

    You will need to replace MRserver:4712 with the name of your MR server and port number.

    7. Restart the Management Reporter services.

    8. Restart GP if it was open.
