Dynamics Login Error MEssage

Posted on by 500

Hi All,

We are currently in the testing phase of our Dynamics GP 10.0 implementation. Any user created after the initial installation receive the attached error message upon entering or exiting a company. The system created DYNSA account does not receive the error message. The DYNSA account has been used to create and subsequent accounts (the ones receving the error).

After a little research, I see that the issue is most likely related to the SQL access granted to the accnts as they are made. I expect that this will be an easy fix once our IS departments can grant me access to the SQL DB.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and found that it was not related to SQL group access?

Thanks. I'll keep an eye out for that script. We're trying to get all the little bugs out in the test company before we move ahead.

Just glancing at it, it looks like the user does not have execute access to that stored proc (which may be an extender proc(?) if you use that product.  Typically you woudl want to run a script called Grant.sql which will basically go through and grant insert, select, delete and execute to procs and tables that are in the DYNGRP role.  This script is usually located in the client under the C\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\GP\SQL (?) folder, but can also be found in CustomerSource.

By the way, that Database TWO if the Fabrikam test company.
