Hi all,

does anyone have an idea on how are we going to setup the procurement categories in order to be considered items in Intrastat? we already tried via the commodity code setting it as tangible but seems not working.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Andrea,

A procurement category hierarchy is not used for intrastat. You need to setup a product category hierarchy with the type 'Commodity code'. You can find some more information in the documentation here: docs.microsoft.com/.../about-category-hierarchies

The next blog explains more in detail: organicax.com/.../

    Hello Andrea,

In addition, there is a whitepaper about the intrastat report generation available here:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../intrastat-in-microsoft-dynamics-ax-2012-r2

Might give you additional insights into the process.

Can you let us know if there is anything else the community can help you with?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Hi Andrè, the issue is not related to commodity codes. These are working fine with the connection which we already implemented. The issue is related to procurement categories which are always considered "services" while some might involve "items" we have also opened a ticket to MS regarding this.

Thanks Ludwig, I had it already but does not mention a way to set a procurement category as an "item" instead of being always considered as service.

    Hi Andrea,

Do you refer to intrastat reporting or the EU sales list?

In the EU sales list a difference is made between item and service related transactions and they are reported in separated columns/report sections.

Note: For the EU sales list the classification of whether an item or service is reported depends on the item sales tax groups setup (reporting type field)

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
