I am wondering what's the best practice to manage a subscription type of opportunity in the Dynamics Sales system.
When our sales agent closes an opportunity as Won, we would like the system to automatically create a renewal opportunity which includes the following
1. clone everything from the originating opportunity to a renewal opportunity
2. auto update the expected close date to the expiration date of the current subscription
3. trigger a different opportunity sales process. Because for a renewal opportunity, the sales process can be simpler than selling to a brand new customer.
Can someone please guide me on how to achieve it?
a step by step guidance would be much appreciated, as we are pretty new to the system.
