Removing Collector IDs

I'm doing some cleanup of our GP system, including getting rid of old IDs within the GP system. I found that there are some IDs in Collections. I was able to delete most of them. However, I have run into a few that, when I go to delete them, I get a message that says "The Collector has tasks assigned to them. Use Transfer Credit Manager to move tasks to another collector before deleting the Collector". I have tried doing that, resulting in 0 items being moved. Upon trying to delete the ID, I receive the same message.

Any ideas?

This is in GP 9.0 (soon to be 2012, which I have tried as well).
