Determining lot size variance in GP

I'm trying to determine and post lot size variance for manufacturing orders.

We need to break out lot size variance from material usage variance.

We have a number of significant materials that are consumed per order rather than based on the manufacturing order quantity.  These items are setup as fixed materials on our BOM's so standard costs are calculated as (fixed qty * standard unit cost  / average order quantity).

When we run a manufacturing order for less than the the average order quantity I'd like the variance caused by a lower lot size calculated and posted to a unique GL account for lot size variance.
