Exchange Email setting on Office365

Does anyone know if there is a way to use the Exchange email setting if you are on Office 365? The Exchange setting requires auto-discover to be turned on your network and reachable by GP when you go into the email settings. Unfortunately, since switching to Office 365 from on-premise this no longer works. We do not want to have to uninstall all the microsoft office programs and switch everyone to 32 bit so we can change the email setting to MAPI. Is there no other way? Maybe IT has to get involved in opening up the port for auto-discover to office 365?
