BCC Emails not received in CRM

Hello Experts,

We are sending email to a CRM Queue having Queue email address in To address, the email is landing in CRM. But if we put the email address in bcc field, then no emails found in CRM. We came to know that, Email router doesn't support bcc email. Is there any work around for it?

Regards,

Saroj

Write a Plugin on Email Create to send emails using SMTP server directly  when there is a BCC field included.

This is because when the email is tracked at the queue receive it does not contain the bcc (otherwise it  wouldn't be  blind carbon copy) you will need to track the email before it is sent.

HI Scott, Thank you for your reply. We are sending email from Outlook to CRM. How we could track it. Can we track it in Exchange server level as Outlook is using Exchange server. Please suggest. It is a blocking for us.

You will need to either install the Outlook Client and click on the 'Track in CRM' icon before you send - or use the Outlook lightweight app - [View:https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics/crm-customer-center/overview-of-tracking-records-in-crm-for-outlook.aspx:750:50]

    Hi Scott,

Thank you for your update. As we know Email router do not process bcc emails. And our primary requirement was to send email to  Distribution List in which the queue alias is there. So we just added a custom field to the queue entity and added it to Queue form. It worked like charm.

    Thanks,

    Saroj

    Hi Saroj,

Can you elaborate in detail how did you do it?

    Hi Sujen,

We had a requirement to send auto emails to customer when they will send email to DLs (Distribution List).

Now if we have 4 DLs and if we create 4 mailboxes in CRM for each DL, then duplicate tickets will be created for same issue if someone add multiple DLs in his email.

And In a queue there are only 1 email address can be added. So the work around was, we added 4 custom fields(Email Type) for our 4 DL aliases, then added all the custom email fields to the Queue form (the queue which will send email to user) as secondary email address. Now there are 5 email aliases including the Primary incoming email alias which will be the main queue alias. Then the main queue alias need to be added as a member to all DLs. All Set.

Now when you send email to any DL, the email will be go from the main queue alias.

    Thanks,

    Saroj
