I want to import from another POS system called position. It also uses SQL. Do I need to export to csv or can I do it in SQL Studio. I seen some addons that can import but the prices are crazy.

Talk to your partner re: help with imports. Microsoft provides a utility for this wherein you populate Excel based templates with data for inventory import.
A Little more information on your process Always helps?
Are you trying to integrate a 3rd party box to HQ?, is this an upgrade to import items through AX as unreleased items? are you trying to use base price or trade agreements?
I really just need to import the stock and prices from other POS
