Vendor group ID to be updated through Record Info however getting error.

Changes to the document are only allowed in state Draft, because change management is activated.

e.g. Vendor group ID was 01 for Local Vendors now updating through Record info to make it 02 however getting an error /Changes to the document are only allowed in state Draft, because change management is activated./

Vendor group ID to be updated through Record Info however getting error

Hi Hazeel,

Is this error coming in a production environment? If not, I would suggest creating a new vendor group and provide a description "DO NOT USE" on vendor group 01.

If it is in a production environment, why do you need to make this change and why wasn't this raised during the implementation and testing?

Vendor group ID to be updated through Record Info however getting error

You have two options: either you want to use a workflow (change management) and therefore you need to get the record back to the Draft state ("Request changes"), or you don't want to use the workflow and you must disable it.
