I'm currently setting up the New WMS module for a customer and I get the Message:

License plate specified on a non-license plate controlled location. Update has been canceled.

all the time...

Anything I try to do this Message pops up. Can't see why though.

Most probably, the locations you have set up use a Location profile which does not have "LP tracking" enabled.

Which means that when performing inventory operations on these locations, a license plate (inventory dimension) should not be specified. Looks like you ARE specifying one.

All my locations on the Warehouse has no locations With a Directive without License plate activated.

I did however set the user location up early on without LP. I changed that. Do you think that this might be an issue?

Yes, most definitely. User locations MUST be license plate controlled (as that's where the inventory is stored while performing Work).

What specific process are you doing when you get the error? Executing Work? If so, what type of Work, what's the work look like (a screen shot may help), what does your RF menu item setup look like? There are a lot of different things involved with this so we would need to know the specifics of when it's happening to help determine why it's happening.

Looks like the database has some corrupt indexes resulting in the error...

I also get this message and this is my scenario:

- I'm trying to execute a sales pick work - pick from a picking location and put to a baydoor location.

- User location and Baydoor locations are license plate tracked.

- Picking location is not license plate enabled.

Could this be the reason? Is it necessary to have license plate enabled on both location when executing a work - the one you pick from and the one you put to?

No, your pick location does not need to be LP controlled.

The User & Baydoor locations do. Your setup looks correct from what you describe above. There must be another detail that you forgot to mention.

Have you tried debugging through the flow?

In the Warehouse management parameters we setup the user location profile. Where do we assign a user location to a worker? How does AX know in which user location to put the goods after the pick?

Try to avoid cross-posting the same question, as it was quite confusing for me at least - I could have sword I had already answered the above question, but could not find my reply for a while.

To follow up on some difference in your 2 questions:

- The user locations are created automatically every time a new work user is added to the system, for all warehouses he is allowed to work in.

- AX knows the user location to put the goods on during the pick operation, as each user has only 1 user location for a specific warehouse, and we are in the context of a particular work user on the mobile device when executing work
