Ok My issue is resolved I don't know how its related...I found Microsoft office online assistant service running on my backup application server ...uninstalled it rebooted my server my asynch is back up picked up all jobs in queue and processed them successfully.

Yes it is on-prem.
I already checked everything, restarted the async service, checked mailbox config. Nothing of that fixed the problem.
The mails are in mail queue with "pending" - if I open a mail record there is a notification, that the mail was tried to send 2 times for example. And the recipient received the mail two times... But it is still pending.

If you are using CRM 2016 on-Premise, than try to restart Asynchronous service.
For Multiple E-mail are sending instead of one :
Try to send E-mail from Quick Campaigns and go to E-mail in CRM and Check the status of that E-mail. If it is in sending status then there might be a problem in Mailbox configuration setting for that USER.
Go to the USER who sends E-mail and check The Outgoing Email configuration in Mailbox. If it is "Microsoft Outlook for CRM", Then Change that as a "Server Side Synchronization/E-mail router" and Click Approve Email, Test & Enable it.
Again try to send E-mail and Let me know the result.

No - I didn't find any fix.
In my case the problem goes further: If I send e-mail by using quick campaigns each recipient gets the e-mail multiple times (sometimes 10 times and more). I am still waiting for a fix.
As a workaround I developed a .Net application to send the e-mails.

Any fix for this, none of asynch jobs are running . It was working without any issues few days back, suddenly this issue poped up and no asynch workflow is processing. Any information would be of great help.
