Hi,

My client is receiving the error below when trying to process an inventory transfer entry in Project. If she clicks on add, it doesn’t allow her to from that window. What steps should she follow? Thanks.

you are not allowed to exceed total total budget costs

I got the answer:

All they need to do is go to the project and add the inventory item to the budget line.

So open the project click the budget button at the bottom.

Find the cost category for the IV type you are using and highlight it.

Choose the blue arrow next to the Cost Category column at the top.

Choose the IV items button.

Do a lookup for the item and add it into this budget.

The setting to add budget items on the fly is turned off so they don’t just have a bunch of junk and add whatever to the project when it shouldn’t be there.
