Hi All,
Found a bug in Dynamics 365 which I can reproduce using the following steps:
1. Enable Knowledge Management on the Case entitty
2. Add a Knowledge Article widget search input to the case form
3. Save and publish the case form
4. Open any workflow
5. Within the workflow try and open a step which contains the case entities form.
6. New window opens and you get: Query Builder Error: The specificed record type does not exist in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
To resolve the issue you simply remove the Knowledge Article widget search from the case form. It than allows you to open the case form within the workflow correctly. Once you re-add the widget it become impossible to open the form in workflow which contains the widget.
Is anyone else seeing any issues in Workflow on a form which has the Knowledge Management widget configured.
We are using latest version of Dynamics 365.
8.2.0.781
Have tried the following:
1. Legacy and Turbo forms rendering
2. IE / Chrome / Firefox

I have also logged a ticket with MS for this issue. For now the work around above is the go for anyone who faces this.
Thanks Mike,
It's the latest Online version offered by Microsoft. Dynamics 365 Online.
What I have done to allow me to edit the workflows which contain the case form is to remove the Knowledge Article widget from the form first than publish it. I than edit my workflow save it, than put the field back on the case form. Everything works well in that order.
If you follow my steps to produce the bug you will see what I mean.
In a nutshell if you have the Knowlege Article widget on the case form and edit a case form in a workflow you will get the error. Very easy to reproduce the bug.
Cheers mate.
Hi,
If it's not an online instance then I would restart the server.
It often helps with workflow issues.
