Format text using a dynamic field

Posted on by 45

I want to personalize a subject line with First Name with the syntax: {{contact.firstname}} How can I format the field with Sentence case? I have records that are capitalized and also records that are in ALL CAPs so I need to format the field. Thank you!

I could be proven wrong here, but I dont think you can force it from that dynamic area of the email.  Something else worth a thought - if its a manageable number - export the contacts to Excel or Excel online, use a 'proper' function to update the current contacts.  Import to update, it fixes it for this time.  You can then add some JavaScript on the fields for new contacts that force the first letter to caps.
