Installing a localization package on one country in another country?

Hello folks,

I would like to understand more the technical side of the question of localisation configuration where there is an ISO code or a full localization package of a certain country being installed in a different country.

Is it the same for Electronic reports as with Configuration keys? We all know some countries have that configuration that you would like to benefit because it does exactly what you are looking for, but the configuration or ER has a (RU) iso code..for an example.

What can it mean to install this in US data base? Can it even be installed? Can it break something? Why wouldn't it recommended or would it be?

If the ER or configuration key does not have an ISO code, is it different? I believe that it has no impact?

I would like to know any experiences or perspective on this subject.

Hi Veronika,

The country/region on Eletronic Reports is the same as country/region on e.g. menu items. It determines if, based on the country of the current legal entity, the feature is available. See also: docs.microsoft.com/.../general-electronic-reporting

A configuration key is another level. It determines if a feature is enabled system wide or not.

You can install electronic reports which does not belong to your country. Possibly, you can add countries or create your own version to add countries.
