Hello,

we Need to Change the item model Group of one released product, cause it should be switched to a item model Group with quarantine control.

The invent model will not Change as we have the same Group without quarantine.

Does anyone have experience on this?

I have found this discussion

RE: Change of Item Model Group

If the only change is quarantine management, you should be able to temporarily change code to skip the item model group change validation and then change it. Do not forget to reverse your code and test your fixing in a sandbox before prompting it to your production instance.

Once a product has transactions it is not possible to change, out of the box, the Item Model Group.

You will need to create a new item, and move the existing inventory to the new item.
