Marketing Email Test Send

Hi,

I'm trying to do the 'Test Send' feature from Marketing Email but nothing is sent out.

I've enabled Server Sync and my Mailbox has been enabled. I can send an email directly from CRM without any issue. 

Are there any other settings that I've missed? Thanks.

    Hello,

    The "Test Send" mechanic is independent from Server side sync settings that one uses for Activities of type email in CRM.

    Have you upgraded your org to the Fall release using the FRE?

    After you press on "Test send" and have created the test send with your desired receiver address, and selected contact that shall be used for dynamic content in the test send you can later observe the delivery data point in the delivery tab in the email marketing message. In your message select the "Insights" view at the form header. Then under "Delivery" you hopefully can identify the increase of processed and further data points by 1 for each test send email address. Has there been a delivery, or a blocked / bounce? That can help you identifying the test send progress.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply. We're on v9.1 and from the FRE settings it says there's no update available.

    From the "Insights" form > "Delivery" tab information it seems like nothing has been delivered, all the stats are still sitting at 0.

    I can see that a 'Marketing Email Test Send' record is created every time I click Test send though.

    I've turned on Trace Log and can see that there's a plugin that runs and executes a 'test send request' and it returns a status of OK as well, so not sure what could be the problem. 

    I'm new to Marketing so wondering it's just a simple setting that I've missed somewhere?

    The problem is  now listed as a known issue - "For certain organisations that upgraded recently, test send may not work. If you encounter this issue, please contact Microsoft Support" docs.microsoft.com/.../readme.

    Funnily enough, by the time I got in touch with Microsoft a week later, the problem seems to have resolved itself. The MS Support person indicated that it could be caused by a different of time between my machine and their server.

    WE consistently get the following Error while trying test send.

    Exception 'InvalidPluginExecutionException' occured: Failed to pre create email test send., CorrelationId: *********************************

    Activity Id: ********************************

    Any suggestions ?
