I cannot find a way in CRM Online to print an invoice. A printed invoice is the be all and end all of a company.

In this community it is said in various posts that there is no ribbon for this. And there are some workarounds available.

Now my question: Is this inability of CRM Online to do the most important thing in Sales AND Marketing a bug or a feature? If it is a feature, can somebody tell my?

Hi,

I think your question is misleading - you're absolutely able to print an invoice from CRM.

Open the invoice, go to Run Report, and select the invoice report. This is what you want to send to people, so you can save it as a Word doc or PDF, and either print it or email it. You can do it on a list of invoices if you have a lot to do.

Hi Disu,

For the report I screenshot in my post, go to the reports area, edit the report, then download it. You need to edit the report in Report Builder or VS with BIDS.

Since this original post, I've become a big fan of Word Templates to generate invoices. You can generate them in a workflow and even send them out to the customer in an email (provided you install Workflow Elements to help out - free at KaskelaSolutions.com ).
