Shipping - different warehouses issue

Hi,

we are using warehouse management system.

Items are located in different warehouses. It can happen that into the LOAD (in the preparation of shipment) there are sales order lines/items lines that require picking from different warehouses. Standard is one Delivery Note for each warehouse from which we pick.

In the screenshot below the filters with which a Delivery Note is created are shown. In practice, we ask for the removal of the 'warehouse' field name.

Our goal is to pick from different warehouses and to create ONE delivery note.

Could you please help me?

Thanks

    Hello User9,

The screenshot you dosplay is for a policy that would combine different shipments.  You cant have a shipment from different warehouses, Account Numbers or Delivery Addresses consolidated which is why you can deselect the warehouse from the Shipment consolidation policy.

However, you an combine shipments from different warehouses on the same Load.  You can do manually from the Shipment form here (you can also try to combine shipments from different warehouses to confirm that it is not possible):

When shipments are combined in teh same Load, you can generate the packing slip from the Load ID.  Here I  generated that packing slip fro a load combining shipment from warehouse 24 and 63 were on the Packing Slip:

So combine your shipments sent from different warehouses on the same Load and (after confirming shipment) generate packing slip from that Load.

    Hope that helps!

    Regards,

    Danny

Thanks Danny for the suggestion, I have some more questions

what I tested and understood is that

it is possible to make a LOAD containing several lines of different orders that also point to different warehouses, so the mixed mode seems to be possible 1 Load -> N Warehouses

in the release to warehouse phase, the system creates 1 waze for each different warehouse, is it correct?

several shipment IDs are created and therefore it does not seem possible to insert everything in a single Packing Slip

this also creates problems at the packing level which does not allow me to aggregate and manage them in a unique way

With you suggestion could you please confirm that I can create one Delivery note for different shipment ID and different warehouses?

During the packing process can I merge two shipments ID in one single process of Packing?

I am asking this because we have different logical warehouse in our Plant for several reason even if the stock are Physically close

    Waiting for your feedback

    Hello Giortele,

    In answer to your questions:

Q: it is possible to make a LOAD containing several lines of different orders that also point to different warehouses, so the mixed mode seems to be possible 1 Load -> N Warehouses

A:  Really it is 1 Load: N Shipments.  Shipments can originate from various warehouses.

Q: in the release to warehouse phase, the system creates 1 waze for each different warehouse, is it correct?

A: The basic split from a Wave Template is one per Site-Warehouse, so yes.

several shipment IDs are created and therefore it does not seem possible to insert everything in a single Packing Slip

this also creates problems at the packing level which does not allow me to aggregate and manage them in a unique way

Q: With you suggestion could you please confirm that I can create one Delivery note for different shipment ID and different warehouses?

A: I tried using the Summary Update options in Packing Sip and Accounts Receivables with no sucess.  In my enviroment, I cant remove <Site>  as a criteria for splitting Packing Slip.  In theory, if Site was to be disabled you could have a Packing Slip for multiple sites.

Q: During the packing process can I merge two shipments ID in one single process of Packing?

A: Not if the shipments are from different warehouses, different customers or different delivery adresses.  If they are valid for merging, if memory serves, you could merge them at anytime.

I am asking this because we have different logical warehouse in our Plant for several reason even if the stock are Physically close
