    Hi Crispin,

I was also thinking the same thing but that wouldn't make it properly secure unless the field was hidden from the user completely.(still not ideal)

I mean any user could easily personalize the form and add created field, and then anyone with the created by field on their personalized form could easily remove the value in the filter and access any record.

    Hi Rida,

There is an option to use eXtensible Data Security, but you have to think of some things first.

Are there any persons who might see all sales orders?

What happens if a user leaves the company? Who should take over his orders?

Then just filter based on a CreatedBy is not ideal.

and one thing more Rida ali...RLS is not a fruitful feature...if you really want to do something extraordinary ...you will have to go for XDS (Extensible Data Security)

Like Suggested by Andre and Yasir, please go through the Extensible Data Security.

Here is a small guide on Developing Extensible Data Security Policies

    Hope this helps. Good luck.

I am working on Extensible data Security for building a policy on sales order as required by Rida, can you tell me what range should i use in query to accomplish this purpose

First you have to find privilege that you want to set security roles, you can find in system administration > setup > security > security roles after you find the privilege, you must create record-level security and find table that use a sales order and after it, you must set the query and choose created by but best reccomended from me you can filter like location and job position
