how to edit account owner field with contact field ?

I have customer account section under sales module. In the Active account, I have an owner field which is system define and Contact detail. I want to enable owner field for editing with contact full name. So the user can add contact full name in the owner field.

How can I do this?

You can't edit the owner field. You can create a custom lookup field as owner reference to Contact entity.

You can't edit the owner field. You can only change it's value to an existing user record not contact record.

You requirement is not clear. You want to edit owner field? As per my knowledge you can't edit owner field to accept contacts.

Hi Jai,

You cannot do this because the type for owner field is a lookup to user entity and you can't set it to contact. By default account has Primary Contact field which you can use to store the contact details.
