We would like to use project management and accounting

By the way, we don't use Project Operations, we only use FO

Hello Kate.xhn,

The project management and accounting module is part of finance. What is it that you want to do in projects? Just record times and expenses?

HI Kate,

License consumption is baes on access to specific table. If any user use any table (e.g. Inventory) related to SCM in Project it will also require SCM license, same way if user only accessing project to complete the activity or filling timesheet it will only require either Activity or Team member license. Same way Finance license will consume if user access Accounting part of Project.

So it's totally depends on user's access level.

Hello Kate.xhn,

I had a look in the very latest D365 build and it seems that you are right with the licensing change.

There seems a change in the roles and licenses required even for the 'native' project management and accounting module.

Have not checked the licensing guide in detail recently.

Would recommend to check it out and possibly have a talk with a MS representative on what this would mean for your users and processes in terms of licenses needed and costs.

Hi Jameel,

Today, the Project Management & Accounting module is covered by the Project Operations license SKU. You can read about this in the licensing guide.
