Pasting code into the html email editor

In the past, I was able to insert a piece of simple code into the editor so I could make a simple change outside of what Dynamics could provide on it's drag and drop designer board.  I'm not a fluent coder, but the piece I've been really wanting to paste recently is a bit more complex and it's causing havoc.  I'm thinking that in the pasted piece of code, there's a small piece of code, either css or java that's causing issues.  My plan is to export to word, and search for character strings for the offending code, either java or css.  Could anyone out there think of css or java character strings that could help me identify the unneeded code so I could strike it from off the face of the planet?

    Hi Partner,

Could you give an detailed example for the problem you are encountering?

"but the piece I've been really wanting to paste recently is a bit more complex and it's causing havoc."

Why would you think that the piece haven become more complex recently?

As per my understanding, you could copy source code of marketing page to a local html file and test it in Visual Studio Code, and use an extension called "Preview on Web Server" to run the page in a localhost server, it will monitor each time change of code and reload the live page.

    Regards,

Hey Excellerant - I understand that bringing code from one system into another can be a problem. If you share what you're trying to paste in with the community, we might be able to help.

Note that the email editor in marketing can only support HTML/CSS and some handlebar syntax (that we use for dynamic text - like {{contact.firstname}} ). If you're bringing in code from another system - we would not be able to support it.

Additionally, could you share what are the pain points you face when creating emails using drag and drop - and what elements are you trying to add?

    Thanks,

    Shravan Suri
