Hi All,

We have installed AOS on domain A(office location) but we want to access AX from  another domain B(site Location). Whether is it possible to connect AX using domain trusts? if it's possible share steps. Kindly help.

Regards,

Varatha Raju

In dynamics AX 2012 if you want to login to windows client of it, you can always login from same domain.

But if you want to access EP from outside domain you can configure EP using ADFS to login without windows domain authentication

    Please check following link

    Please verify

    Hi Varatha

Is enough to handle the trust between domains.

Finally, from Ax user form when you import a user you can choose Domain A or Domain B.

    Thanks

    Hi Varatha

You can try to ping the ERP server using IP instead of name?

I think there is a DNS issue.

    Hi Varatha

In two way trusted domains you need to open the firewall ports for tcp/udp for the BC Proxy domain account to validate the user using domain controller.

I think tcp/udp 88 and 189 port's are used and these have to be listening from domain controller for the reporting AOS.

Not sure on the port id's but get in touch with your network admin to get this if this is your case

    Hi Raju,

This is possible when and only when the functional level of both the Domain are Windows Server 2008  R2 or above.

Please note that, you should have trust between both the domains.
