Fulfillment Date in Sales Lines Items smarlist

Hi folks,

Could you please help me clarify some reporting dates in GP?

When I run Sales Line Items Smartlist in GP, I add the following columns: Fulfillment Date, Fulfillment Dates from Sale transaction, GL Posting Date, Posted Date.

From what I understand:

- if I set up to post by batch, my GL Posting Date is the batch date I set up for the batch.

- If I set up to post by transaction, my GL Posting Date picks up my invoice date (which is Document Date).

- GL posting date is the date that actually hits the GL accounts.

- Posted Date is the date I actually post the batch; it might be different from my GL date and document date.

- Fulfillment Date from Sale Transaction is the date the PO is fulfilled.

- Fulfillment Date is sometimes different from Fulfillment Date from Sale Transaction, which I do not understand.

Please advise.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Nhi Nguyen

    Hi Nhi,

There are two Sales Fulfillment Date fields, as you've noticed. One is on the header of the invoice, and the others are on the line items. It is not unusual to have different fulfillment dates on the line items. The line item fulfillment date is on the following window:

    Kind regards,

    Hi Leslie,

Thank you for your prompt reply. Besides GL Posting  Date and Fulfillment Date from Sales Transaction, there is a column called Fulfillment Date I can add to the Sales Line Items Smartlist. I usually run Sales Line Item smartlist, adding GL Posting Date and Fulfillment Date from Sales Transaction column, to see which invoices are fulfilled in the same reporting month. Today, I just saw Fulfillment Date column and noticed they are different from Fulfillment Date from Sales Transaction  for some invoices.

    Thanks,

    Nhi

    Hi,

I was agreeing until we got down to the Fulfillment Date from the Sales Transaction. This is the date the Sales Transaction was actually fulfilled. It doesn't have anything to do with the Purchase Order. If you use a separate fulfillment, then the date the fulfillment process is completed is the fulfillment date.  Next you say 'Fulfillment Date is sometimes different from Fulfillment Date from Sale Transaction. . '  Where is this second fulfillment date located? The Fulfillment Date from Sales Transaction that I'm referring to is on this window:

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
