Hello,

I am working on a project where  i have to get resumes that are submitted in a landing page attached to the specific leads in the notes section. I also have to scan the resumes for viruses before attaching them. Can anyone suggest a way to get this done? it would really help as i am at a dead end

I have the same question (0)

Can you explain bit more? Are you using CRM portals and collecting documents from there?

They are uploaded into CRM lead records in notes section. Am I right?

Are you trying to access those docs from somewhere else?

You want to enable virus scanning while the public end users upload the doc in portal?

No we are not using any portals. There is simply a landing page on a website which collects information like names, number, email and finally asks for resume upload, one this is done the information is then sent to the CRM Environment as leads. I have to find out a way to make that bridge from the landing page to the CRM leads so that the incoming leads have resumes attached to them which are shown in the notes section. the catch is that the resumes have to also be scanned for viruses before being put in the CRM environment. This is by far the knowledge i  have on this.

In short there is landing page from where people fill in info which is then bought into the CRM environment as leads and the resumes they upload on the landing page have to be visbile in the notes section of lead form.

Ok. You have your own website to talk to CRM. Fine.

You can do CRM interactions in 2 ways, either web api or organization service.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../web-api-basic-operations-sample-csharp

    www.tutorialspoint.com/.../microsoft_crm_web_services.htm

For virus scanning while file uploading refer this thread:

For notes (annotation) handling refer this:

    community.dynamics.com/.../160308

Lead is like any other entity (DB table in CRM nomenclature) which will be parent record & notes will be child of parent lead record.

Thanks for sharing the links they gave me some sense of direction as to what i need to do. So i have to write a web API to get the leads into the leads and the annotations and anti virus scan go along with the code right?? Just final checking as this is an important project i am working on and need to get it right.

Start with the CRM Org service/web api itself from your web page & ask a new question if you have any problem.
