New Item Profit Margin - Price

Version 2.0.015. Profit Margin or Price seems to be calculating wrong on new items. When entering our cost and entering a preferred profit margin, the systems calculates the Price wrong. If entering a preferred Price along with our Cost (in the respected fields) the profit margin is lower than expected, but is correct utilizing the Profit Margin%=(Net Sales-COGS)/Net Sales)*100 calculation. Would prefer not to calculate each price and use just a suggested Profit Margin. I do not see anything related for Hotfixes or Service Packs. Anyone had this issue or any ideas?

This might due to tax properties.A taxable item should be assigned exclusive tax.For example if you purchase an item at $100 inclusive of tax

and you expect a margin of 20%,Your expect a price of 125. so your cost should be $84.74 and margin 20% that will give you a price of 125

We have an Add On that will allow rapid setting and preservation of profit margin for all price types. Preservation comes into play over time, if supplier cost or received inventory cost changes. It is called Pricing Tool:

SP4 is installed. Not sure if there is a Hotfix/etc that may need to be applied.

This is working correctly in version 2.0.100. I verified that on my test machine. So I would suggest upgrading to SP4 or later.
