Configuration Package -- Change Relation Table ID

Hi:

The Relation Table Name in the Configuration Package should be "Item" and not "Standard Text", within the Config. Package Fields window of Purchase Line.

How can we change this?

Thanks!

John

    John,

Yes and No. So the reason is that if you upload a Standard Text Code it has to read the Standard Text Table to insert the correct Description. In the case of an Item, it will populate the Item Description always, unless you overwrite this.

Leave alone and you will be fine.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Hi, as Steve said, please don't mind the relation table here. It will automatically determine the imported and exported values based on the Type.

    For example:

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks.

Well, there's still a problem due to the overarching error message:

The field No. of table Purchase Line contains a value (79766) that cannot be found in the related table (Standard Text).

    How do we resolve this?

    John,

In the Excel sheet that you are importing, this value 79766, is in the No. column, with Type Item. Do you have an Item with a No. = 79766? If not, then the validation will check Standard Text. Check the record you are importing to make sure its Type and No. make sense.

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hi Steve:

Yes, we have Item No. 79766.

That's why we're befuddled by the error message.

How do we eliminate this error?

    Thanks, Zhu!

We, also, found that we did not have to specify a Purchase Order Number in the header file.  Do you know why?

    John
