Plugin Privileges and Role

Hi Community,

I'm using CRM 365 and having Sys Admin role.

I registered one plugin Create message for custom entity (e.x: carloancustomer entity)  on post-operation stage and asynchronous execution mode , the requirement is if record created in carloancustomer entity then the same customer details should be created ourcustomer entity. Here if one user doesn't have permission on ourcustomer entity, the record will be created in ourcustomer entity or not, if created who will be the owner of that record.

Also all user can register plugin in plugin registration tool or user need some privilege and role?

    Hi Dhanabal,

    If the user does not have create privileges on “ourcustomer” entity and if the plugin is registered to run as the calling user then it will not create the record and throw an exception. If the user has rights then the record will be created and owner of the record will be that user.

     

    There is another option to register the plugin under system account in which case the record will always be created (provided no other exception occur) and assigned to the system account.

    You are welcome. Only System administrators can do it. But the sys admin can select any other user for the "Run in User's Context" option and execute the plugin as that user.
