Dont create a purchase order to refill warehouse with active coverage plan by dimension Location

Posted on by 8

Hello,

In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 CU12 if I run the forecast planning process and the item has active coverage plan by dimension Location, only create a transfer order but do not create a Purchase Order for the supplies wharehouse.

But if I open the master plan and run manual explosion for the transfer order the system create the purchase order, this is correct; But my question is why the planning process dont create purchase order ?.

Regards

    Hello Fredrik,

I run the master plan and is the same result, dont create the PO.

LET ME EXPLAIN BETTER THE SCENERY

    1. Item active coverage plan by dimension Location

    EXPLODE.PNG

    2. The forecast is directed to the warehouse 11, and the warehouse 11 is refilling for the 13 warehouse

    3. Run the Forecast scheduling and this is the result, only create the transfer orders.

    4. Select "MP" item and then option "Explode" for create the PO to 13 warehouse

Notes: In CU9 create the purchase order when you run forecast scheduling

In CU12 if unchek coverage plan by dimension Location create the transfer order and PO for the 13 warehouse.

My questions is in CU12 change the method o configurations for Forecast Scheduling?

The Master plan is more complete and if you need the whole requirement picture you should run that. Running master plan you can opt in the forecast scheduling also.

I don't even use forecast planning by it self since it became a part of the master plan...

Could you explain what you mean by run manual explosion?
