Re-run a Retire Routine batch for FA for GL posting

Hi Everyone

I generated a FATRX report to retire fixed assets.  When I looked at the batch, I thought it looked incorrect then deleted the batch, thinking I could just rerun a batch.

I was wrong.  There is now no data to run.

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

    Hello EmmyJ,

To clarify, are you saying you ran the FA to GL Posting Routine in Fixed Assets and posted this to the General Ledger? Then you deleted the GL batch and attempted to recreate the FA to GL Posting again to push to the GL but it is not picking up what it did initially?

If so, the reason for this is in the FA00902 and FA00905, we assign the Batch Number to the records once you run this GL Posting Routine. This also creates a record in the FA150000 table.

If you deleted the batch from the FA to GL Posting window and not the actual GL Batch, it should remove the batch id assigned to the records and delete the FA15000 table.

If this is your scenario, you would need to blank out the GLINTBTCHNUM for the batch Number in question in both the FA00902 and FA00905. You would also need to delete the associated records with that batch from the FA15000 table.

Once done, you can redo the FA to GL Posting process.

You need to be careful doing this as if these tables become out of synch, you will start to see errors during this process.

We have a script do this if you would like to create a support case as it is not something we provide in forums.

    I hope this helps!

    Thank you!
