Export the BOM lines

Posted on by 6
Hello!

I'm looking to export the BOM lines from my company's database.  I have been told there are 10,000 lines of data.  The issue that I have come across repeatedly is this navigation: Inventory management > Journal entries > Items > Bill of materials; where the next step would be to press the export button.  This is not what I am looking for.

The navigation I was told to use is: Product information management > Inquiries and reports > Bill of materials lines. From there, a panel pulls out from the right side and provides 4 ribbons: "Parameters", "Destination", "Records to include", and "Run in the background".  Btw there's no export button on this page.

What buttons should I press under those ribbons to export the data to excel?

Thanks!

    Hi,

You can always export the "Bill of materials lines V3" entity through data management as well.

    Hi IH,

    According to your query above:

The navigation I was told to use is: Product information management > Inquiries and reports > Bill of materials lines. From there, a panel pulls out from the right side and provides 4 ribbons: "Parameters", "Destination", "Records to include", and "Run in the background".  Btw there's no export button on this page.

You can select Screen in Destination ribbon to view/print in screen first.
When its printing is completed then you can export result into Excel. click Export button on the top-right side of report.

Moved from D365 general forum to Supply Chain Management forum, because its seems to be about F&O (SCM) and not about D365 in general. Please let me know if you disagree.
