1,210After the 2016 SP1 update some new weird bugs were found with CRM features. I believe most of the people are familiar with the 'Price Override' bug in line items, but this one is new.
I have approval customization done for my org. In this there is Sales Order entity and two custom fields 'Manager Approval and Master Approval'. Both are FS enabled, and there is one FS profile for Sales Managers who has Read, Update & Create access to Manager Approval and Read access to Master Approval. There is validation that without the Master Approval = Approved, the SO cannot move forward. I've used a Business Rule which sets the Master approval based on Manager Approval Value (Approved or Rejected). This customization was working fine, until I installed CRM 2016 Update 1 SP1.
Now the issue is when Managers Approve the SO, the Business Rule tries to set the Master Approval as approved. However the bug prevents it and throws error as follows.
