Override the receipt location

Hello Everybody!

I want to know if is possible to change/override the Receipt Location in the mobile device; I mean, is possible to choose other location different of the default "Receipt Location" of my warehouse?

    Hi Hatice,

    AX will always register the items to the default receipt location set on the warehouse, and only one receiving location per warehouse is currently possible.

    However, there are other possibilities using an extra pick/put pair on the Work template. In this way, a staging location becomes the inbound dock.

    One method is to create a mobile device Disposition code for each receipt location. On the mobile device menu item, enable 'Display disposition code'. Create a Location directive for each Disposition code (you can set the disposition code on the Location directive header). On each Location directive action, set the relevant location. The user just has to chose a disposition code on the mobile device, and AX will stage the receipt via the relevant receipt location.

    A second method also involves a staging location. This time, the location directive for the staging Put is configured to fail (create one with no lines). The user will always be prompted for the location.

    Hello! I have one question more about this topic: is it possible to set this staging location (Put 1) non-LPcontrolled location??? Thanks for your help!

    Hi Hatice,

    I have never read anything that said the Staging location must be license plate controlled, but I just tested it and if it's not I get the message 'You cannot override the staging location to a non-LP controlled location'.

    However, you can tick 'Generate licence plate' on the mobile device menu item, and then you can effectively forget about it.

    Thanks Guy Terry! I wanted to change the recepción location because we don´t wish to use Lp-control.
