Hi Community,

Is there anyway to add Legal Entity to Vendor Page grid (Or any other grid that is Legal Entity aware) by the "Add column" Feature, and without development?

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Pop,

This is not possible. The system field 'DataArea' is not available for selection. This probably because the current active legal entity is already visible on the top bar in the application.

As Andre mentioned its available at the top right corner , so whats the reason behind  adding it in the grid ?

Well the users want to export the grid and want to have the legal entity also as a column in the exported excel. I mean of course we can develop something to do it but  it seems to me we should be able to do it without coding.

    Hello Pop,

    Is this really needed?

If your users export data through the grid, they should know what company they are in, right?

    Or did I overlook/miss something?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Well, My users want to add the legal entity to any grid and then export the custom grid for some legal entities but I guess given adding a system field like 'DataArea' to grids is not possible they have to manually add it in the exported excel file.

    Hi Pop,

If it helps you, you can open vendors in Excel and add company column there.

    Hello Pop,

Simply use Open in excel feature in 'All vendors' form.

Once the excel is generated the data, click on Design and edit the Vendors V2 entity table. Double click on "dataAreaId - Company" to make this available from "Available fields" to "Selected fields" section.

Then click on Update > Yes > Done > Refresh > Yes.

You will find the Company column is added in the excel.
