SO Manager Login Error

I thought I would post here and see if someone has a solution to an issue that's been bugging me. When a user tries to launch SO Manager, it coughs up an error message saying "bad file name." If I make the user a local admin it works just fine, although as the tech support guy, I have fits about doing that.

<><> Setup: RMS 2.0 running on Windows XP, SP2

<>Troubleshooting steps:

User is in power user group
Checked registry and directory permissions
Problem manifests itself on several systems with several users
A reinstall has not fixed the issue

It sure smells like a permissions issue, but nothing has popped up to say "it's me, it's me!" If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them.

There was a Windows Hotfix to install before upgrading to RMS 2.0 wich was about the DAO or ADO processing. This fixed the problem in our company.

Problem resolved by using ProcessMon. I went through the access denied messages one at a time, granting permission to the power users group.
