M-S Cash Drawer j-423-B not opening

I have RMS 2.0.1 and a new M-S Cash Drawer j-423-B not opening. The driver is loaded however it only show as HID-compliant device in device manager. How do I tell RMS to use it as the cash drawer?

    Hi,

    MS Cash Drawer will open when the command is received fro Printer

    I assume CD is connected with USB Thermal Printer, in Printer Preferences, there is a setting for cash drawer as when to pop open CD

    do not setup CD in RMS

    This is a USB cash drawer connected directly to the PC.

    first install OPOS driver, you can get from manufacture website

    then create a new cash drawer OPOS service object (click help for more details)

    Start--> Programs--> Microsoft Dynamics RMS-->Configure Microsoft OPOS Service Objects--> Chose Cash Drawer--> New--> Driver identifier--> chose your installed driver--> give a name CashDrawer1 --> OK-->Test--> Quit

    OS Manager --> Database-->Registers --> Properties (for the register you want to use Cash Drawer) --> ChasDrawer1-->Select (enable) -->OPOS Devise Name-->OK

    restart POS run a cash Transaction and should be working now..
