Hello,

How can i generate a budget plan linked for ex to ledger A from a budget plan linked to ledger B?

any idea? any workaround?

Hi David,

If your question is about copying a budget plan, you can use data management features to export and import data as workaround.

Hi David,

I have not used the data entities for budgets myself. You can try to export from all entities related to budget plans and check the contents to know which one would be your best fit.

i received the following error when i tried to export Budget plans entity:

System.ServiceModel.FaultException: The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error. For more information about the error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration behavior) on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client, or turn on tracing as per the Microsoft .NET Framework SDK documentation and inspect the server trace logs.

How to fix this? any idea? Also the same error when i tried to export any entity.

Hi Andre,

i did use the data entity Budget Plans to export budget plan from a group legal entity, then filter on some records and import back on individual legal entity.

this is the output generated from the data entity:

how can i filter to export only those records highlighted in yellow: the value 001 will represent the country ?

Just to make it clear: Dimension country will be added to the budget template in the legal entity called Group entity. this template will be distributed to every legal entity located in different countries.

after aggregation of budget plan in the group entity, i will use data management as suggested to export filtered records by countries and import back in every individual legal entity per country.

i hope this is clear.

Hi David,

When you create the export project, on the entity line, there is a filter icon in the grid (needs some sliding to the right). When you click on that icon, you can specify query values.

Are you able to add a range for the dimension field and set a value? Or is this also blocked?
