Hi everyone,

We are using Dynamics CRM and since a couple of months we are getting this error screen every time we open our crm app..
Chatgpt told me the error is in Hungarian and the translated text says:

Yammer is not available because you need to update the expired token. To do this, open the Settings page and under Administration, select Yammer Settings.

Has anyone had a similar issue and know how to solve it? We don't want to see the welcome error message anymore and are not interested in Yammer.

Hi there! Good morning, evening, or afternoon :) depending on where you are!

Since you are not interested in using Yammer, the best approach may be to disable Yammer entirely to avoid the error:

    • Disable Yammer Integration:
      • Navigate to Settings > Administration > Yammer Configuration.
      • In the Yammer Configuration page, uncheck the option to enable Yammer integration.
      • Save the changes and publish all customizations.
      • Clear Browser Cache:
        • After disabling Yammer, clear the browser cache and cookies to ensure that the changes take effect and the error message no longer appears.
      • Verify User Roles and Permissions:
        • Ensure that users do not have any roles or permissions tied to Yammer features. Removing these dependencies can help avoid any lingering issues.
      • Test the Application:
        • Open the CRM app again to confirm that the error message no longer appears.
      • Optional: Remove Yammer-Related Components:
        • If Yammer is not being used at all, consider removing any Yammer-related components or configurations from the system to streamline the environment.

    Hope this helps some!

    Hi Holly,

    Thank you for your reply.

I can't access the Yammer integration from the Administration area, but can see Yammer when going to Power Platform admin Center > Settings > Integration > Yammer. It is not possible to uncheck the Yammer integration. I can only start the connection between Dynamics 365 and Yammer. This is something I prefer not to do, because we don't want/need Yammer.

I forgot to add the answer to this issue:

The Yammer message was (accidentally) added as the welcome screen.. That is why we got to see it. It had nothing to do with Yammer.
