Cloud Printing Solution Integration

Dear Community Fellows,

I hope you all are doing well.

My question is regarding the integration of a Cloud Printing service. If I am correct, it is commonly known as an extension in D365BC.

How it works:
We have REST APIs that authenticate the user and display available printers to the user. The user can also configure printing options and upload/send the .txt or .pdf file for a print job.

What do I want?
I want to integrate it into D365BC. When the user wants to print any report they must be able to view assigned cloud printers and can send their reports directly for printing.

I read up about developing extensions in AL programming codeunit and found this link: Creating a Printer Extension.

Kindly let me know if I am going in the right direction or if there is something else that I should look into.

Thank you for your time.

Regards,

Azhar Shah

    Hello Nitin,

I really appreciate this suggestion. It serves the purpose and gives me an idea.

However, I work at https://www.ezeep.com/ and for our users, it would be a profitable integration into the D365BC.

This leads to my next question, what is required for such integration? Would an extension work, written in AL?

Yes, you can go that app, and follow the instructions available with that app.

    Thanks.

You should have to investigate their API before you can decide if you can write an app for it or not.

But if they have a rest api that should be doable.

Here is our API documentation. These are REST Apis, already integrated into MS Word, Chrome Browser Extension, etc

If you may give it a quick look, I would highly appreciate your input.

    Thanks and regards,
