Hello everyone,

I need to delete a bulk of items, about 200,000 items from the released products, I tried the data management using import project after enabling the "Truncate data entity" option, but nothing happens, and the items still not deleted.

    Hi
To delete a bulk of items follow these steps.
    1. In Data management >> Data management parameters >> Entity Settings >> Configure entity execution parameters --- Enter these details
    2. Create  a import project
    3. Select the excel file(File contains only headers of the entity)
    4. Enable the "Truncate entity data" as "Yes"
    5. then click Import in batch.

    This will solve your problem.

    Hey,

Just to add what André said with x++, the custom script is the way to go in my opinion.

    Kind regards, Adis

Thanks for your response. No, there are no transactions on these items. I can't delete them manually because there are too many, and the session ends before they are completely deleted. The deletion is because these items were uploaded with wrong item numbers.

    Hi,

What is the reason for having such huge number of records to be deleted? Are you able to delete an item manually or do you get an error message then? If items do have transactions, they can't be deleted anymore.

In case there are no transactions or other references to these items, you can use e.g. a list with items to be deleted and use a Power Automate flow. Or consider writing an X++ script to delete them.
