I have noticed since we went to GP2013 that when a smartlist is exported to Excel that the information comes over with five zeroes after the decimal point.
I was curious to find out if this could be fixed.

If you are using a full client add this switch to the dex.ini file. SmartlistEnhancedExcelExport=TRUE.

Hope it helps.
Larry,
As ever, when something changes, it has unintended consequences. I have seen similar posts in the past several weeks, and have to admit I am coming down more and more on the side of the additional decimal places are a bonus, especially for companies who deal with items tracked to 3 or more decimal places of accuracy in some units of measure. It all comes down to data quality.
Here is a small post on the issue with potential resolutions:

Additionally, one could use SmartList Builder to create alternative SmartLists, which use a different format for the same fields (i.e. integer with no decimal places).
You are totally right, I have seen this issue quite often mostly in all the upgrades of Dynamics GP to 2013 version, it is not a bug, but primarily due to the web client.
Consider this thorough article for explanation and proposed solutions Smartlist and Navigation Lists export currency values with 5 decimals in Excel using Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013
